Access & Inclusion Statement

THE CRACKUP SISTERS ARTS PRECINCT

Access & Inclusion Statement

The Crackup Sisters Arts Precinct welcomes everyone. We are committed to creating a warm, inclusive and respectful environment where all visitors feel safe, valued and able to participate.

Located in Winton, in Outback Queensland, we recognise that regional and remote settings present both unique opportunities and challenges. We aim to be transparent about what we can offer, while continually improving access wherever possible.

Physical Access

Our precinct is largely at ground level with open outdoor areas. Pathways are a mix of compacted earth, gravel and hard surfaces, which may be uneven in places. Some seating options are movable and flexible to accommodate different needs. Accessible parking and drop-off points are available close to the main entrance. We recommend contacting us ahead of your visit so we can best support your access requirements.

Amenities

Accessible toilet facilities are currently not available onsite. If you have specific requirements, our team is happy to assist.

Sensory Environment

Our experiences take place in an outdoor Outback setting and may include natural elements such as dust, changing light, wind, and ambient sound. Performances, including The Dusty Hour, are designed to be welcoming and relaxed, with a gentle pace and moments of audience interaction. If you have sensory sensitivities, please reach out so we can provide more detailed information.

Communication & Support

We strive to communicate clearly and respectfully with all visitors. If you require assistance, adjustments, or have specific access needs, we encourage you to contact us in advance. Our team will do their best to accommodate and ensure you feel comfortable and included.

Community & Cultural Respect

We acknowledge and respect the cultural significance of the land on which we operate and are committed to inclusive storytelling that honours diverse voices, particularly those connected to the Outback and regional Australia.

Continuous Improvement

As a growing arts precinct in a remote location, we are committed to learning, listening and improving our accessibility over time. Feedback is welcomed and valued.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss your visit, please get in touch—we’re here to help and look forward to welcoming you.
